Below is the script I use for scraping my DX cluster to announce openings on various bands. All variable declarations are done up front, the script will auto log back into a cluster if it is disconnected, so be sure you understand that part BEFORE you unleash it. You will need a set of audio files announcing each band as being open. I use this site to generate speech as MP3 files. The script presumes you have an MP3 player active on your system, and that it is set to be called when you try and play an MP3. I am in the process of changing this to work with the Maidenhead grid system so I can gain more refinement in the location, so some of the code may appear useless… It is not… All of that said, click here to download the script.
